Do you enjoy helping others?  Want to earn money doing a great, fun job?  Lifeguarding may be the answer!  Our certification course gives participants the skills and knowledge needed to be lifeguards in the pool. It offers up-to-date information on how to guard, anticipate and prevent problems and take action to help those in danger. It also covers safety and survival skills every swimmer needs to know, accident prevention, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid in aquatic environments. and more!

To enroll in the course, you must be at least 15 years old. You must also complete a pre-course skills test. To register for the Eastern Lycoming YMCA Lifeguard Training course, a $10 non-refundable deposit is required when you sign up. This deposit will be creited to your Eastern Lycoming payment after the pre-test.

May 27        9:00am - Finish           Final Exam

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be certified for 2 years in the following:

• Red Cross First Aid
• Red Cross Lifeguard
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer
