Aquatic Fitness Classes
Exercise in the water provides motivation, aerobic choreography, muscle conditioning, improved cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone by using the buoyancy and resistance of the water. Water exercise is ideal for all fitness levels, non-swimmers included. At the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA, there is a variety of different water exercise classes available for those looking to improve their physique and stay healthy!

Water Exercise Classes
A total body workout using a variety of quick-paced instruction designed to tone and firm, including warm-ups, stretching, and cool-down exercises. This class is a great cardiovascular workout for individuals of any fitness level!
Monday through Friday
Monday and Thursday Evenings
A class designed for the senior population, all manuevers are performed at a low intensity level. Instruction is slower-paced and exercises are gentle in order to improve joint movement and flexibility.
Fit and Tone
This class is designed to improve muscle strength and tone the body using water weights, noodles, and other aquatics equipment. Individuals of any fitness level are welcome to participate. When taken in conjunction with Aqua Aerobics, this class is capable of producing wonderful results!
This effective, unique and fun workout combines Latin and international music to create an aerobic interval routine using fast and slow rhythms in the water.
