Personal Training at the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA is designed to help individuals move toward the behavior and mind-set behind regular exercise.  Let our certified personal trainers get you started with a structured, personalized fitness program and help you achieve your goals!

Fitness Assessment

A fitness assessment is an important tool for planning your program and finding out what areas need the most improvement. Our fitness specialists will discuss goals and give advice on personal wellness, nutrition habits, and lifestyles. During your fitness assessment, you have the opportunity to learn your body weight, blood pressure, resting heart rate, body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage, body circumference, cardiovascular fitness level, muscle strength and endurance, plus flexibility.  All tests are optional. You are provided with an extensive report on your scores and what steps you should take toward improvement. 

Fitness Assessments are included with Personal Training purchases - sign up by filling out a form at our front desk or see one of our Fit Team Members at the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA.

Intro 2 Training

This program, for beginners and beyond, is designed to introduce participants to training through a fitness screening, goal assessment, and program development based on individual needs and desired results. Our trainers encourage participants to ask questions related to their program in order to feel completely comfortable. Intro 2 Training is designed for those who are new to fitness, need a change in their current regimen, or simply just interested in fitness training!

The program is divided into two sessions:

Session 1 - Fitness Screening

  • Health History
  • Needs Analysis
  • Target Heart Rate Zone Calculation
  • Blood Pressure and Body Composition

Session 2 - Fitness Programming

  • Warm-up
  • Training Regimen (based on Needs Analysis)
  • Stretching/Cool-down

EL YMCA Members $50

Non-Members $65

This “Perfect Partner Workout” approach to fitness is a fun way to get fit while interacting with a friend. We believe clients who train with a partner tend to be more committed to their personal training sessions. Our certified personal trainers will guide a 45 minute workout. Partner exercises are built into each session for a team building effect. So…find a fitness minded friend and SIGN UP TODAY!
