Message from the Y Print E-mail

It is my great pleasure to serve as the first Branch Executive Director of your new Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA, Blaise "BR" Alexander Community Center, while serving the citizens of this community and surrounding areas. Here at the ELYMCA we are family oriented and open to all.

Our focus is to create an effective team of dedicated staff and volunteers whom every day work with the purpose of earning the right to serve you. We ask for your support to assist us in accomplishing what we know your YMCA can achieve. It is our hope that soon you will be even more committed and proud to be a part of the compassion and caring that is found in the mission of the YMCA.

I would like to give you my assurance that your membership will be of great value and you will receive the best quality service throughout your time spent with us. We are glad you have chosen the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA as your outlet for family fun, fellowship amongst friends and healthy living to further enhance your quality of life.

I want to thank the River Valley Regional YMCA, our members, volunteers, donors, and the surrounding community for helping to make the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA, Blaise "BR" Alexander Community Center a reality.

Sincerely,

Mark J. Casson
Branch Executive Director
Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA

The Mission of the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

We strive to provide programs which reflect our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility and involve everyone - regardless of age, race, gender, faith, ethnicity, ability or religion - in means by which one learns to lead a healthier life, build strong family relationships, develop self-confidence, enrich one’s mind, learn responsibility for the common good, and respect for one another.

Financial Assistance

Memberships and services will not be denied because of an individual's or family's inability to pay. If you or your family are in need of financial assistance, please call or pick up a financial assistance form at the member service desk.

Scholarships are made possible thanks to contributions to the YMCAs "Annual Strong Kids" campaign, donations from our community, various fundraising events, the Lycoming County United Way and many friends of the YMCA.
